Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Wichita Dwight D. 
Eisenhower National Airport  are 
available Monday-Friday, 0800-1600 in 
accordance with the port’s permission 
to land procedures. See special 
procedures below.  
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting CBP 
directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP 
prior to departure from the foreign port or place, during 
operational hours. 
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 
minutes during normal hours of operation and (+/-) 15 
minutes outside operational hours. If your ETA deviates 
outside those parameters, Previously granted 
permission(s) are invalid and you must contact CBP to 
re-secure permission to land.

Inspection Process 
• All aircraft are required to clear at the CBP facility located off taxiway A1.
• Aircraft should park in the red box facing south if practical.
• Our designated location is limited to a maximum size of FAA design Group III aircraft and below (less
than 118' wingspan).
• All forms should be completed prior to arrival. CBP Form 6059B is available as a printable PDF
document on www.cbp.gov.
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
• Regulated Waste containers are provided on site.
Special Procedures/Miscellaneous 
• We are closed for all U.S. Federal Holidays, after hours availability varies. Contact us during business
hours.
• Pilots or their designee should contact the Port of Wichita by phone during operational hours for
permission to land. As we have many obligations throughout the day, if we are unable to answer the
phone immediately, please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as we are able.
• Our main phone line is forwarded to the appropriate Officers cell phone for after hours arrivals.
• If you do not receive a call back within a reasonable time after leaving a message, please contact
SECTOR Communications at (800) 973-2867 and ask to speak with the Duty Officer for Wichita.
