Inspection Process
- A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
- Passengers and crew should be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal (if appropriate).
- Document review and interviews will be conducted onboard the aircraft unless circumstances dictate otherwise.

Required- All request will require minimum of 2 hours of processing time during regular office only. For example, outbound flights after service hours (1500 PST), or A.M. inbound/outbound (0830-1030) must be faxed in advance by 1300 PST. Outside of regular office hours, or requests that do not meet the 2 hour processing time, please contact Westbay Cargo at (650) 989-2501.
- Any change to ETA, crew list and passengers list must be made by contacting 510-271-8900x2001.
- Flights must arrive between 0830 to 1500 to be granted landing rights. The only exception is approved vendors VISA/Chevron, medical, and CBP management discretion.
- Fax documents to 510-273-4069 (PRIMARY) or 510-273-4068 (ALTERNATE).
- Medical flights and emergency diversions should contact 510-271-8900x2001 and or on duty CBP Supervisor 510-271-8936. Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly.
