Inspection Process
- Upon landing at Reno, alert the ATC that aircraft needs CBP clearance, the 'follow me' vehicle will guide aircraft to CBP FIS Ramp.
- CBP is a standalone facility not attached to main terminal or FBO.
- A CBP officer will meet aircraft to commence inspection process.
- All passengers and crew should be prepared to disembark the aircraft with all luggage for inspection inside the CBP facility.
- All regulated waste/international garbage should be bagged in a minimum 3ml bag and CBP will collect for proper disposal.
- Passengers/crew can depart directly from the FIS in coordination with FBO/flight crew.
Procedures
Permission to Land
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP prior to departure from the foreign port or place and at least 24 hours in advance of the anticipated arrival time at KRNO. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.
