McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport

Aircraft should park on the ramp at the FBO. A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection. All crew and passengers will be processed either planeside or inside the FBO. Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by the FBO from the aircraft crew. The aircraft can continue to the selected FBO Hangar at the conclusion of their inspection. FBOs charge fees for removal and destruction of Regulated Garbage.

• The aircraft control tower can direct you in if needed .
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.

• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal (if appropriate).
• Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by the FBO from the aircraft crew.
• The aircraft can continue to the selected FBO Hangar at the conclusion of their inspection.

Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP prior to departure from the foreign port or place and at least 24 hours in advance of the anticipated arrival time at KSSI. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.

• The Brunswick Office processes flights M-F 0800-1430 only.
• Pilots must contact the Brunswick Port Office for permission to land at least 24 hours in advance.
• Permits to proceed can be submitted prior to arrival or at time of arrival.

Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly.
