Inspection Process
- FBO Ramp personnel will block aircraft; power down.
- CBP Officer will come out to meet PIC and inquire if regulated garbage is on board.
- FBO Ramp personnel will remove and store regulated garbage.
- CBP Officer will request passengers and crew to disembark, scan aircraft with Radseeker/PRD, aircraft search, verification of CBP Decal/Registration.
- Passengers, Crew, Bags (if CBPO request), processed, search/x-ray bags, all return to aircraft and taxi to FBO, unless prior requests were made in advance.
Procedures
Permission to Land
Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly. Orlando Executive Airport (KORL) is designated as a “user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP 24 hours in advance of the anticipated arrival time at Orlando Executive Airport and prior to 1600 hours. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact the CBP port to re-secure permission to land.
