Inspection Process

  • Aircraft should park in the designated spot outside the CBP inspectional office.
  • A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the tarmac to begin the inspection.
  • Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot's license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal.

Hours of Service for Entrance 
and Clearance 
Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Skagit Regional 
Airport are generally available 24 hours 
per day,  7 days per week  in 
accordance with the port's permission 
to land procedures.  
Commercial aircraft operators departing 
the U.S. must obtain an outbound 
clearance by contacting CBP directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting the Port 
of Skagit prior to departure from the foreign port or place. 
The Port of Skagit will submit a request for a specific window 
during which a flight will arrive. If CBP approves the request, 
CBP will have an officer available during that time frame to 
inspect the aircraft. 
If your ETA changes to outside of that time frame, previously 
granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact CBP 
to re-secure permission to land.
