Aircraft should park on the GA ramp at the FIS unless instructed otherwise. The airport control tower may direct you to another staging ramp due to limited space on the GA ramp. Pilot can call one of the 3 public numbers to notify arrival on the GA ramp. A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection. • A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
• All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal (if appropriate).
• Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by CBP from the aircraft crew.
• Passengers can depart directly from FIS at the conclusion of their inspection.

Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP prior to departure from the foreign port or place and at least one hour in advance of the anticipated arrival time at McAllen Miller International Airport. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact the CBP port to re-secure permission to land.

• Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP during regular office hours.
• Any aircraft granted outbound clearance must notify CBP directly, at the phone numbers listed above, if the approved date/ time of departure changes.
• Due to increased number of arrivals, delays in processing and/or the possibility of CBP modification of arrival times can be expected.
• Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, hunting trophies, or commercial imports.
• Large aircraft requiring processing utilizing the Commercial FIS ramp will require prior CBP approval at least 48 hours in advance and coordination with the City of McAllen Department of Aviation (956) 681-1501 (Carrier is responsible for any airport related fees). These types of accommodations will be on limited case-by-case basis.
