  • The FIS is not attached to the FBO or main terminal.
  • A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
  • All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
  • Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal.
  • Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by City of Dallas under their Compliance agreement from the aircraft crew.
  • Passengers can depart directly from FIS at the conclusion of their inspection.

Permission to Land

Dallas Love Field Airport (KDAL) is designated as a “user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP no later than one hour prior to departure from the foreign port or place. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact the CBP port to re-secure permission to land.

  • KDAL is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM –5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
  • For after hour flights, landing and departure requests, you MUST Call the Love Field CBP Officer no later than 4:30 PM CST.
  • For weekend and holiday flights, you MUST Call the Love Field CBP Officer for all landing and departure requests no later than 4:30 PM CST the Friday prior to the weekend or Thursday if that Friday is a holiday.
  • For all holiday flights that occur during a weekday holiday (i.e. the holiday falls on a day in the middle of the week whether it be a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) you MUST Call the Love Field CBP Officer for landing and departure requests no later than 4:30 PM CST on the prior regular workday.
  • Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, hunting trophies, or commercial imports.   • Inspection services for the entrance/ arrival of aircraft at Dallas Love Field Airport are generally available seven days per week, 24 hours per day in accordance with the port’s permission to land procedures/special procedures. Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly.
  • KDAL is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM –5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
  • For after hour flights, landing and departure requests, you MUST Call the Love Field CBP Officer no later than 4:30 PM CST.
  • For weekend and holiday flights, you MUST Call the Love Field CBP Officer for all landing and departure requests no later than 4:30 PM CST the Friday prior to the weekend or Thursday if that Friday is a holiday.
