Inspection Process

  • All Aircraft operators are required to taxi to the CBP inspection area.
  • The airport control tower can direct you in if needed.
  • The FIS is attached to the Corporate Aviation Terminal.
  • All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
  • Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal.
  • Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by DFW under their Compliance Agreement from the aircraft crew.
  • Passengers can depart directly from the FIS at the conclusion of their inspection.

Secure permission to land ≥24 hours prior; weekend arrivals due by 16:00 Friday; adhere to +/-30 minutes ETA.

  • CBP Services are provided from Mon. through Fri. from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
  • For after hour flights, landing and departure requests, you MUST call DFW CBP no later than 4:30 PM CST.
  • For weekend and holiday flights, you MUST call DFW CBP for all landing and departure requests no later than 4:30 PM CST the Friday prior to the weekend or Thursday if that Friday is a holiday.
  • For all holiday flights that occur during a weekday holiday (i.e. the holiday falls on a day in the middle of the week whether it be a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) you MUST call DFW CBP for landing and departure requests no later than 4:30 PM CST on the prior regular workday.
  • ALL requests must include if transporting live animals, weapons, hunting trophies, or commercial imports. Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Dallas/Fort 
Worth International Airport are 
generally available seven days per 
week, 24 hours per day in 
accordance with the port's 
permission to land procedures (see 
special procedures below).
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting 
DFW CBP directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP at 
DFW during normal hours of service,no later than 24-hours 
prior to departure from the foreign port or place. Requests 
for Saturday and Sunday arrivals must be submitted and 
approved by 1600 hours on Friday.
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 
minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, 
previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must 
contact the CBP port to re-secure permission to land. 
Inspection Process
