Inspection Process
- Aircraft should park on the CBP ramp which is located just west off of the B4 taxi.
- There is a CBP office at this location.
- A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection plane-side.
- All crew and passengers will be processed inside the CBP FIS.
- Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal (if appropriate).
- There is a USDA compliance agreement in place at this airport for the collection of regulated waste/ garbage. Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by CBP from the aircraft crew.

- Weekends & Holidays are by scheduled appointments made by 1630 hours on the last previous working day (i.e. Monday is a holiday - flight must be scheduled by that previous Friday by 1630 hrs.).
- CBP Officers travel from home and DFW Airport after hours and weekends to service aircraft arrivals at this airport; accurate ETAs and timely updates to ETAs are critical.
- Advise CBP if transporting live animals, or weapons.

Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly. Permission to Land Procedures McKinney National Airport (KTKI) is designated as a “user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP prior to departure from the foreign port or place, and at least one business day in advance of the anticipated arrival time at McKinney Airport.
