Hours of Service for Entrance 
and Clearance 
Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Fort Worth 
Alliance Airport seven days per 
week, 24 hours per day in 
accordance with the port's 
permission to land procedures.  
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting 
CBP directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KAFW) is designated as a 
“user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP no 
later than one hour prior to departure from the foreign port or 
place. 
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 
minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, 
previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must 
contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.  
Inspection Process 
• All Aircraft operators are required to taxi to the CBP inspection area.
• The airport control tower can direct you in if needed.
• The FIS is not attached to the FBO or main terminal.
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
• All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and
user fee decal.
• Regulated waste/garbage will be collected by the FBO under their Compliance agreement from the
aircraft crew.
• Passengers can depart directly from FIS at the conclusion of their inspection.
Special Procedures/Miscellaneous 
• KAFW is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM –5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST).
• For after hour flights, landing and departure requests must be received no later than 4:30 PM CST.
• For weekend and holiday flights, all landing and departure requests must be made no later than 4:30 PM CST the
Friday prior to the weekend or Thursday if that Friday is a holiday.
• For all holiday flights that occur during a weekday holiday (i.e.the holiday falls on a day in the middle of the week
whether it be a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) all landing and departure requests must be made no later than
4:30 PM CST on the prior regular workday.
• Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, hunting trophies, or commercial imports.
