and Clearance 
Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Fort Worth 
Meacham International Airport are 
generally available seven days per 
week, 24 hours per day in 
accordance with the port's 
permission to land procedures. 
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting 
CBP directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (KFTW) is designated as a 
“user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP no later than 
one hour prior to penetrating the ADIZ and/or one hour prior to 
departure from the foreign port or place.  Exceptions: Flights 
originating directly from Canada, declared emergencies, or forced 
landings, It is preferred that pilots secure landing rights at least one 
business day in advance of the anticipated arrival.  
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If 
your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted 
permission(s) are invalid and you must contact the CBP port to re-
secure permission to land. 
Inspection Process 
• All Aircraft operators are required to taxi to the CBP inspection area marked on the tarmac.
• The airport control tower can direct you if needed.
• There is a CBP office (FIS) at this location.
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the planeside inspection.
• All crew and passengers will be processed inside the CBP FIS.
• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot's license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and User Fee decal.
• There is a USDA compliance agreement with the City of Fort Worth to collect regulated waste/garbage from
international arrivals.
Special Procedures/Miscellaneous 
• All crew/passengers must present valid proof of citizenship and a completed Customs Declaration (CBP Form 6059B) inside the
CBP office.
• Pilots should contact their FBO on behalf of passengers requiring additional or special assistance entering the FIS, assistance
unlading baggage, or in the event of inclement weather.
• No private vehicles or individuals are permitted to approach arriving crew, passengers or the aircraft, or operate within the “shadow
of the aircraft” at any time during federal processing.
• A representative from the City of Fort Worth will also be planeside to collect landing and/or other special fees.
• All pets MUST be on a leash or in an approved carrier.
• Flight crew are also reminded that Meacham Airport is an active AOA – please exercise caution when entering or exiting the FIS.
• This location does not process inbound or outbound cargo.
• Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, or commercial cargo.
• Passengers/crew transporting currency or other monetary instruments exceeding $10,000 must file a report with CBP on a FinCEN
105 form.
• For weekend and holiday flights, all landing and departure requests must be made no later the 4:30 PM CST on the Friday prior to
the weekend or Thursday if that Friday is a holiday and/or on the prior regular workday.
