Inspection Process
- Aircraft should park within the blue box in front of CBP General Aviation Facility (GAF).
- Be aware that the CBP aircraft parking area is within the FAA SIDA restricted area.
- A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft to begin the inspection.
- All crew and passengers will be processed inside the GAF.
- Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user fee decal (if appropriate).
- Signature FBO has a USDA Compliance Agreement and will collect all regulated garbage/ waste, after inspection.
- Passengers can depart directly from GAF or return to the plane and taxi to Signature.

Required- After hours arrivals are available by appointment and should be arranged with CBP Officer prior to 1630, Monday through Friday.
- Weekend appointments should be submitted by 1630 the Friday prior.

- Pilots should contact Signature to arrange for services and verify all costs.

See special procedures below. Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly. Permission to Land Procedures Bluegrass Airport (KLEX) is designated as a “user fee airport” [19 CFR 122.1(m);19 CFR 122.15]. Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP a minimum of one hour prior to departure from the foreign port or place and during regular hours of 0900-1630, Monday- Friday. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.
