Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at Smith Reynolds 
Airport are available Monday-Friday, 
0800-1600 (24/7 on a case-by case 
basis) in accordance with the port’s 
permission to land procedures.  Closed 
on holidays.
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting CBP 
directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting 
CBP prior to departure from the foreign port or place 
and at least one business day in advance of the 
anticipated arrival time at KINT.  
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 15 
minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, 
previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you 
must contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.  
Inspection Process 
• Aircraft should park at the FBO, Signature Flight Support.
• There is no CBP office at this location.
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
• All crew and passengers will be processed planeside or inside the FBO at the officer’s discretion.
• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and
user fee decal (if appropriate).
• Regulated waste/garbage will be collected from the aircraft crew.
Special Procedures/Miscellaneous 
• CBP Officers travel from Greensboro, NC to service aircraft arrivals at this airport, accurate ETAs
• and timely
• updates to ETAs are critical. The drive time from Greensboro to Winston-Salem is about 45 minutes.
• Only United States Citizen and Canadian Citizen passengers and crew can be processed at this
• airport. Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, or commercial imports.
• If traveling with pets, please have all documents including health certificate and most recent
• rabies vaccination.
• If transporting more that $10,000 in monetary instruments. please go to CBP link to file an online
