Inspection services for the entrance/
arrival of aircraft at SPirit of St. Louis 
Airport are available M-F, 1000-1800 in 
accordance with the port’s permission 
to land procedures.  Weekend service 
may be available as needed.
Commercial aircraft operators 
departing the U.S. must obtain an 
outbound clearance by contacting CBP 
directly. 
Permission to Land Procedures 
Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP 
prior to departure from the foreign port or place and at least 
one business day in advance of the anticipated arrival time at 
KSUS. 
Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 
45 minutes.  If your ETA deviates outside those 
parameters, Previously granted permission(s) are invalid 
and you must contact CBP to re-secure permission to land.

Inspection Process 
• Aircraft should park at the FBO Signature Aviation “red box” which is clearly marked.
• The aircraft tower can direct you in if needed.
• A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
• All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
• Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot’s license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, and user
fee decal (if appropriate).
• FBO Signature Aviation will collect regulated waste/garbage. Aircraft arriving from Canada are exempt.
• All cars/valets are not allowed ramp side.
• Passengers can depart directly from FIS at the conclusion of their inspection.
• Passengers will exit at the front of the building from the FIS.
• Passengers can be picked up in the front of the building.
Special Procedures/Miscellaneous 
• CBP Officers may be traveling from St. Louis, MO to service aircraft arrivals at this airport; accurate
ETAs and timely updates to ETAs are critical.
• Weekend and Monday landing rights requests must be made prior to Friday at 1800 hours (CT).
• Advise CBP if transporting live animals, weapons, hunting trophies, or commercial imports.
