Inspection Process
- Aircraft should park in the CBP area beyond gate B1 facing concourse B.
- The aircraft control tower can direct you in if needed.
- The FIS is attached to the main terminal, not a General Aviation Facility or FBO.
- A CBP Officer will meet the aircraft on the ramp to begin the inspection.
- All crew and passengers will be processed inside the FIS.
- Be prepared to present passports, visas, pilot's license, medical certificate, aircraft registration, user fee decal (if appropriate), and overflight approval (if appropriate).
- All waste, garbage and regulated food items will be collected by the aircraft crew and turned over to CBP or an approved Field Base Operator (FBO) under CBP/USDA regulated garbage compliance agreement.
- Passengers can depart directly from the FIS or at the FBO at the conclusion of their inspection.

Commercial aircraft operators departing the U.S. must obtain an outbound clearance by contacting CBP directly. Permission to Land Procedures Pilots must secure permission to land by speaking with RSW CBP during regular office hours, at least one hour prior to departure from the foreign port or place. 24-hour notification is recommended.
